Cory and I have decided its time to pull Central Oregon ballers back together. A lot of you were aware of the D's forum that I started. That forum will be shut down and redirected back to this forum.

There are several reasons why we are doing this. First, it is our objective to try and pull the Central Oregon paintball community back together. To share information and connect people together for local games. Second, to offer local clubs/teams a private forum section to post private games, complain, whine or whatever. Last, to try and limit the continued growth of local forums.

Most of you have I'm sure already noticed some of the changes to the forum. The Club/Team section has already been started, and several user groups have been formed.
Each club/team will have a public section for questions and comments and a private section for those more intimate moments. A club/team member will be assigned as a forum moderator to monitor each forum.

If you would like to be added to a user group just go the Control panel of your user profile and click on Group memberships. From there you can request to be added to your group.

If your club/team is not listed and you would like it to be, just PM me. If you would like to have a forum for your club/team, again, just send me a PM.

Thanks everyone. We hope this is the beginning of a rockin new year for Central Oregon Paintball.

Ed

I agree.... it seems to be less cohesive lately.... I personally dont have the time to check 4,8,10 different forums to keep up... Just one place for CO sounds like a good plan... maybe let each team administer there own team sections... so they have control over there access... whatever .. however... less can be more!

thanks to Ed for taking the time to get things setup..

we should be able to get team captains setup to manage user access, ideally each captain will manage access to their own forums.

I do agree it will be nice to keep everything in one forum. If anyone has requests or sees an opportunity to add something, be sure to let us know...

To make things a little easier I have added a link to Group Memberships in the site navigation box. I have also added several of you as user group leaders to your specific club/team so that you can control who is added to your user group. You should be able to check for user group request by clicking the Group Memberships link.

For those who have not been added to your user group this can also be done by clicking on the Group Memberships link.

I also wanted to thank all the clubs/teams who have been working with me on this project. I think the new club/team section is looking really good, all the banners are up, and most of the club/team info has been posted.

Cory & Ed,

Thanks for giving us a common place to gather to... I have tried to help for Team Section For The Operators... but it's tuff to ... busy busy.. I will try to do more...

I think the overall concept is a good one...
Question: Can we take our exisitng domain names and park them at a team area... say www.theoperators.org (http://www.theoperators.org)?

That would be cool ...

Decided to just post here instead of making multiple posts... Over the next short bit I will be going through COPB and tweaking themes, colors etc to both individual team and club forums to make them all unique, as well as the COPB site as a whole so please hang in there and if you notice something is out of place (a colors off etc) please let me know.

Also to teams and clubs, if you have some prefrence in color schemes for your forum please let me know ASAP, otherwise colors will be loosely based off your banner image.
