bonebrake ego's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
those are gana be soooooo sick
4 words: sweet, overpriced smurf memorabilia. I'd take on a Bonebreak Ego with my A5 Flatline any day. Although I will admit, shooting really fast, really accrate, looking cool, and not breaking balls is pretty sick.

yeah and you would get torn up too, well if it was infront of the right person

well right person or not u would get pretty messed cause flatlines make the ball travel much slower or it seems and speedballers dodge balls flying much faster so it would be interesting

dude there just gonna be milled different with like some kind of lava ano, there not gonna be any faster or anything, the nexus ego is by far the sickest
Flatline Slow? Out Of Barrel? Even if it is 300 fps out the barrel... Can you explain... Even if shooting a target in "common range" say 50 feet away....

i know what ur saying but if u shoot a gun at 300 next to a flatline at 300 the flatline seems to go much slower
maybe cause it looses vilocity faster do to spin?
u tell me but im goin by sight and im not that bad of seeing

but ya the nexus egos are sick by far i saw this matte olive and black one in a magazine and its soooooooooo awsome
http://www.sagerats.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/rant.gif Sorry dog, I hate to say this to peeps, but in this case I feel I must... YOU'RE WRONG!. If anything, Flatlines make the balls lose less speed. And also, I'm not sayin I'll take on a bonebreak ego on a speedball field. I agree, that'd be nuts! I've played speedball with my A5, and it's not pretty. I'm saying I'll take on a speedballer toting his big bad bonebreak in the woods where I'll be able to see his bright, please shoot me jersey from a mile away. Then, (seeing as how I can actually sight down my freakin' barrel!) take him out with maybe 3 balls before he knows what hit him.
I think Cory knows what I'm talkin about. (kinda) How those welts doin, bro?
Alright, I'll get off my soap box now. Let's not have this turn into a woods/speed thread.

i agree
but there isnt any real way to tell unless u try cause what if it is a woods baller who buys the ego he might be able to win who knows but woot do u think u can do it in 3 shots 4 REAL???????? no matter who u are 3 shots from average woods spaced distance 200ft +

is pretty impresive
At 200ft there's no way I could do it with three balls (unless I got REALLY REALLY lucky). I'd say the absolute max distance ppl can reasnobly get a kill in the woods, even with a flatline is around 150ft. Most fights take place at less than 120ft from what I've seen. Last 'Rats game I took out Ed's wife Kathy with 4 balls from about 70ft. Coulda done it in 1 or 2 if my barrel were in better shape.
I suppose if a woodsballer bought an ego, he might win. Although, he would have several disadvantages:
1. The ego with a halo and drop is a bit too tall to tuck in close to the ground.
2. With the vert feed in the way, there's no easy way to sight down the barrel meaning you have to "walk" your shots in to the target.
3. The ballence point of the gun is too far back to be very stable. You would get pretty tired trying to keep your muzzle down all the time.
4. The bright colors of the ego may look awesome in the box or on the speedball field, but when it comes to blending into the woods, it sticks out like a popcorn fart at a funeral.
5. The ego has PC boards, batterys, wireing, and lots of little parts. What happens if you drop it ten feet? how bout dragging it through mud and water? ya, bad things I'm sure. I've banged my A5 on rocks, dropped it in the dirt, and not oiled or cleaned it for weeks, and it kept on working like new.
Most serious woodsballers tend to go for simple, tough, reliable guns that don't stick out in the woods.
Although It would be an interesting experement to have a 1on1 match between 2 good woodsballers. 1 with a tricked out ego and 1 with a tricked out A5.
Ah, I just let lose another long rant didn't I? Darn it!

you have some great points but egos come in many colors including the ninja black which is a dull black finish no glose and a 45 ci tank considering how efficient the ego is and a hopper full of paint, that gun is not only still 6lbs or lighter but its ballenced plus the no rise it comes standard with hardly creats any rise at all
but at "websters" house he has a 2-4 storie tall hill on blm that is thee best!!!!!!!! hill for woods ball ever the only woods field i feel can compete with it is the splat arena

at webs house the hill top down and alittle back is 200ft easy
even cross hill is pretty far 8)
OK so I've lost a couple of points. good shootin.
Under six pounds eh? My A5 is about 4 1/2 pounds loaded and ready to go. The remote line makes all the difference.

then the egos gata be even light er like 3 - casue i used to have and a-5 and they arent the lightest compared to like shockers and egos and timmies
Well the gun itself is about 3 pounds. it goes up to maybe 3 1/2 with the Flatline barrel, and up to 4 1/2 with the stock. OK so I guess it's more like 5 pounds cuz you still got like 1/2 pound of paint. The major thing is having the Co2 tank on your back.

man just because you have a vert feed doesnt meen you have to "walk
in your shots, thats stupid, you look down the gun like any other gun, 95% of speedballers dont use drops bc of the height issue, the balance on those guns if dont right is out of control, man you obviously didnt see pics from la open xball this year

Instinctive aiming.
The ability to aim without sighting. Learn it, Love it, Use it.
It is a skill you will need if you plan to win at speedball.
Ya it works for woodsball too, and im actually ok at it. The way my gun is set up, it practically aims itself. I do like being able to use my sights, though.
I think what we have here is a case of woodsballers not fully understanding speedball, and speedballers not fully understanding woodsball.
P.S. Those pbstar logos may look cool, but I have a feeling you meant to post actual pics. :)

I am a woodsballer and own an A-5 (with a Flatline, SAW stock, and a remote line) and haven't played a game of speedball yet (although i want to). I think that Tippmann markers are generally (i could be wrong) for woodsball. Speedball and woodsball are two different types of paintball, in a way. In woodsball, a woodsballer with a A-5 would probably do better. In speedball, a speedballer with an ego would probably do better. That's just common sense, but it's hard to judge what would do better against each other. I have the downside of not knowing much about speedball so correct me if I'm wrong.

I have to admit that I have never like tippmann since they ditched the 68 carbine. It was infact one of the best paintball markers of its time. That having been said I have played almost every variation of speedball and woodsball you can imagine. I started out like most playing woodsball with some friends in someones backyard and from there moved into speedball. Woodsball makes for a poor spectator sport because you cant always be watching the action. Speedball appeals to crowd because mothers, sisters, brothers, and fathers can watch (But not cheer on) the people they care about.
Angels are not bad woodsball markers, I have played many games with my angel or shocker and had a great time. I played my first tournement with a spider not a tipmann but a gun designed for woodsplay and I did fine.
Tippmann has focused on creating markers that add to the experience of woodsball games, they are not suited as well to the compact and flashy nature of speedball but function very similarly.
Ferrari Vs. Hummer ?
There are no winners just personal preferance

Ferrari and the Hummer but I only like the H1's but the H2's I think are gay there not really even made to go off roading mainly a good gas milage SUV for moms
That costs WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much

compared to what? h2's are crap andx thats all there is to it
i got to do a full service inspection on h`1 military vehicles today strait from the army its was sick the i got to spin around in the turret abunch :P  :P 8) \
but i can dxo that ensincktive aiming thing soooo goodd i can hit the polls or a spool hole in 1-2 shots consistantly
speedballers are masters of it now pros might arguably walk there shots in cause of the amount of paint they shoot but there also pro so they can do it super good

dude my boss has an h2 there sick, and they have horrible gas milage, they get like 10 mpg

H2's and H3's are just ugly square bodies stuck on PU frames.
The H1 is the one and only true Hummer!

ya well what do u consider good SUV gas milage cause 12-14 isnt very good but for a gas suv its pretty reasonable so what wer u trying to say that they get bad gas milage overall or just for and suv????
