rec/scenario ball= good
speedball= bad
I'm going to deck out my A-5 too. I had the idea of screwing weaver rails onto the flatline shroud so you can mount lasers, tac-lights, bipods, etc. If you get a stock, make sure you can look through the sight with a paintball mask on! ( I've made that mistake before )
bah...don't let this turn into another speedball/woodsball debate....
as long as your shootin human, it's all good..
Christ, starting to sound like Beerking

 it not that speed ball is bad cory....but speedball takes ...well....speed. And most of us oldtimers lack speed, agility and ...well...um the "small"frames needed to play if you get my drift

haha i get what your saying, but ya know we do have bob and hes up there 8O
IM A NEWBIE... I'LL ADMIT HAVN'T GIVEN A HONEST EFFORT TO SPEEDBALL.... BUT I DID LOTS OF "TARGET RANGE" SHOOTING WITH REAL RIFELS, HANDGUNS & SHOTGUNS.... BUT JUST THE THRILL OF SHOOTING AT AND ESPICALLY HITTING LIVE TARGETS.... ESPECIALLY THAT ARE SHOOTING BACK AT YOU....
MY ONLY COMMENT TO THE BUILDING UP OF THE A-5.... JUST AN OPINION... DONT PUT BI-PODS,SCOPES & WEAVER RAILS & LIGHTING SYSTEMS...THERE IS N0T ENOUGH ACCURACY IN PAINTBALL TO ACCOUNT FOR REQUIRING ANY OF THE "EXTRA" GEAR BEYOND BARRELS AND INTERNAL SYSTEM UPGRADES... JUST A THOUGHT TO THINK ABOUT....

ALL OPINION - WHAT DO I KNOW, IM JUST A NEWB...

lol you can get enough accuracy to hit a spot consistently that you could use a scope, it wont be a far spot like 100 ft it seems would be the max

the cons seem to have out weighed the pros for me, with scopes and such.
Sure if you need a scope for 100ft (30 yds) or less... go for it... Everyone I see never has time at 100' or less to stop and line up a reticle to a head or person... without getting shot first.... so it seems, expecially around the sage rats games....
Do what you want... put all the Gucci shit on your gun you can fit on it... you want take all the time you need to put together a shot at 30 yrds (or less)... you'll prob... be walking back to the parking lot waiting for the next round... but hey you'll look cool walkin' back....
Again all opinion... just a Newb...

Right but a few extras like a collasable or fixed stock does make it look better. I agree about the scope and redot, forget them 8)

Y'all got some good points. I think I'll prolly just get a response trigger or e-grip, a rear velocity adjuster, and a 230rd hopper. But I'm afraid unless you have a flatline barrel, I'm going to out-range you. 8)

Do yourself a huge favor and get the e-grip not the response trigger

Got the hopper, E-grip and the flatline and they are all good upgrades for the A-5. Have a couple reddots but I never use them on my markers, like tone said...to time to sight-in at moving rats.

Thanx for the tip medman. Also, anyone know where i can get the best deal on an e-grip here in town?

D's has the E-Grip for 120.00 and they will even install it for you for free if you purchased your gun from them.

Nuts, I got my gun from Cash Hut. Oh well, I can prolly install it myself.

They are very easy to install, you just take off the old grip and put on the e-grip. All you need is a 9 volt battery. Everything else comes with the e-grip including instructions on how to install and adjust it. Enjoy 8)

Obviosly tone you havnt been hunted by me  Nah partially i like the look but in truth I do use my scope quite a bit Pickin out ppl hiding using it more for binoc's then actual shot placement. now as for laser sights if your playin night games its almost a must . the night before the big game during our night game I had my night vision attached to my A5 while my friend had a laser sight . He could point an shoot differance bein I could see everything around but had a harder time lining up on opponents.
